Gallatin Valley Surgery Center is a premier healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Our state-of-the-art, 4 OR ambulatory surgery center is made up of compassionate team members who partner with leading orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality and timely manner throughout the surgery center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect surgical instruments.
  • Assemble, protect, wrap, contain, peel pack, and label surgical instruments.
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Pull case carts.
  • Clean, troubleshoot, and correctly use CP equipment.
  • Perform and record all biological and chemical sterilization tests.
  • Issue and receive durable, moveable clinical equipment.
  • Issue sterile supplies to using areas.
  • Perform inventory duties as required.
  • Verify that all sterilization processes have been completed and met parameters before making equipment available for use.

Requirements:

  • Must attain Central Processing Certification from HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) within one year of hire date.
