Senior Electrical Systems Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Systems Planner to join our team at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the Texas power grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering analysis and technical support for the planning and operation of the electric power system.
- Design and perform steady-state analyses using power flow models (PSSE, VSAT, or Powerworld) to accomplish transmission planning.
- Implement appropriate system modeling and develop tools and procedures to monitor and control the system.
- Assist in developing improvements to transmission planning and market forecasting processes.
- Work on complex engineering issues where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
- Five (5) years of experience as Power Systems Engineer, Power Systems Analyst, Planning Engineer, Operations Engineer, or closely related position in the electric utility industry.
- Experience with modeling, simulation, load forecasting, and analysis of system events.
