Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to operate in a chemical manufacturing facility while upholding a safety-first approach in all tasks. Exhibit strong expertise in supporting PC hardware and software while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).

1. Local User Support: Provide basic troubleshooting and repair for PCs, laptops, and network issues.

2. Peripheral Assistance: Support devices such as printers, faxes, projectors, etc.

3. Setup and Upgrades: Configure PCs/laptops and peripherals as directed.

4. Application Support: Assist with software installation and troubleshooting.

5. Call Logging: Document all inquiries and actions taken.

6. IT Shop Support: Maintain PC inventories and relevant data, ensuring a clean and organized IT environment.

7. System Evaluation: Assess existing systems and ensure virus and security updates are current, checking overall system health.

8. Software Review: Analyze installed software for relevance, necessity, and licensing compliance.

9. Equipment Management: Store and recycle outdated equipment.

10. Backup Monitoring: Oversee tape exchange and backup processes as directed.

11. Alternate IT Support: Provide support for all issues in the absence of the IT Generalist, including being on call and collaborating with technical support from corporate or other sources.

12. Travel: Be prepared to travel as needed for assignments.

13. Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with office relocations, reporting, and data support.

14. Compliance: Uphold IT security policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.

15. Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.

16. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, which may include assisting with documentation and support for control systems.

Minimum Education & Experience:
1 – 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.

Microsoft Certified Professional.

Preferred Education & Experience:
Associate's Degree in Information Technology.

1. Strong knowledge of PC hardware and remote access concepts.

2. Proficiency in all Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
