Job Opportunity

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. This is a full-time position that will work out of UPMC Washington Hospital, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our sports medicine division.

About the Role

  • Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Work closely with our sports medicine division to provide comprehensive care to patients with orthopaedic conditions.

Requirements

  • A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
  • Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Act 34 Clearance required.
  • Act 33 Clearance will be required.
  • Act 73 Clearance will be required.
