NESCO Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new and sustaining products, tool design, manufacturing processes, and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Product Development: Conduct research and design new and sustaining products, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Manufacturing Process Improvement: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Tool Design and Development: Design and develop tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Project Management: Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to other departments as required to meet the needs of our customers.
- Process Analysis: Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Represent engineering on cross-functional teams and collaborate with other departments to ensure the most efficient working environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or manufacturing process improvement.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of Auto Cad and/or Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Word. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor and lead others, and identify, communicate, and participate in process improvement opportunities (LEAN) aimed at reducing cost, improving efficiencies, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Technical Skills: Experience with composites, GD&T, material specification, surface finishing requirements, and manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, welding, surface treatments).
