As a Project Engineer at Enprotech, you will be engaged in diverse projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include project assessments, component structuring, and the development of operational workflows. In instances involving new parts or equipment, you will leverage design software to create models and technical drawings. For repair and refurbishment tasks, you will apply engineering principles to evaluate and devise strategies for restoring worn or damaged components to their original specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all technical operations to ensure project precision and quality throughout all phases.
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to generate detailed work scopes and accurate labor/material estimates.
- Develop innovative repair solutions and enhancements for existing heavy manufacturing machinery.
- Create detailed prints for repairs or new components, along with necessary workflow and assembly documentation.
- Maintain project timelines and effectively coordinate resources.
- Engage regularly with purchasing, sales, and production departments.
- Provide consistent updates on project progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks software.
- Ability to create and modify technical drawings to align with manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles as they apply to mechanical systems.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
- Competence in managing all aspects of production, including method selection, fabrication, and product design operation.
- Ability to estimate project costs and prepare bids for engineering solutions.
- Experience in overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Capability to recommend design changes to mitigate equipment malfunctions.
- Skill in analyzing design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess feasibility, costs, and maintenance needs.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in steel manufacturing, rebuilding, or machine shop environments is advantageous.
