Memorial Rehabilitation Institute offers a comprehensive range of specialized services, addressing complex cases including trauma, stroke, and brain injuries, as well as providing physical and speech therapy. Inpatient services are available at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient options at multiple locations. Our home health team and long-term care resources at Memorial Manor ensure continuity of care, while pediatric therapy is provided through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Position Overview:

As a Physical Therapist, you will assess and address the physical therapy needs of diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute tailored care plans based on patient evaluations and treatment frequency requirements, actively involving patients and their families.
  • Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff.
  • Conduct and document initial and ongoing evaluations of patient conditions.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and families regarding treatment strategies and progress.
  • Advise on the selection and utilization of adaptive equipment and support resources.
  • Facilitate or assist with patient discharge from therapy services.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Required)
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
  • State of Florida Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE)

Additional Information:

The role demands critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment. Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
