Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our team at Ajinomoto Foods North America. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all accounting activities, providing technical guidance and leadership to direct reports and management staff.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal control and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and administer department budgets, exercising general direction over the preparation of annual budgets and capital expenditure plans.
  • Monitor performance against budgeted targets, formulating and recommending specific courses of action to resolve problem areas.
  • Direct the preparation and presentation of financial information to management, ensuring accurate and uniform recording and reporting.
  • Conduct studies and analyses of internal financial data, interpreting and reporting significant events and practices impacting business operations.
  • Participate in the formulation of short-term and long-range financial goals and objectives, analyzing financial aspects of strategies and plans.
  • Supervise the maintenance of ledgers, inventory records, and related accounting reports, ensuring accurate and timely performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Five to eight years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Broad business experience, with preferred experience in cost accounting and mastery of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow.
  • Ability to build relationships, lead and direct the work of others, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ERP systems and JD Edwards preferred.
