Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Ajinomoto Foods North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our plant accounting functions and providing strategic financial guidance to our management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all plant accounting activities, ensuring compliance with corporate and GAAP guidelines.
  • Prepare and administer department budgets, exercising general direction over the preparation of annual budgets and capital expenditure plans.
  • Monitor performance against budgeted targets and formulate recommendations to resolve problem areas.
  • Direct the preparation and presentation of financial information to the General Manager, ensuring accurate and uniform recording and reporting.
  • Conduct studies and analyses of internal financial data, interpreting and reporting significant events and practices impacting business operations.
  • Participate in the formulation of short-term and long-range financial goals and objectives, analyzing financial aspects of strategies and plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Five to eight years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Broad business experience, with preferred experience in cost accounting and mastery of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow.
  • Ability to build relationships, lead and direct the work of others, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ERP systems and JD Edwards preferred.
