Materials Science Lecturer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified lecturer to teach courses in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Merced. The successful candidate will have expertise in materials development for 3D printing or microelectronics fabrication using the Synopsys fabrication simulation tool.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Materials Science and Engineering, including MSE/CHE 176 - Microelectronics Fabrication and MSE/CHE 162 3D Printing Research and Development
  • Create a syllabus, hold regular office hours, and evaluate student work and exams
  • May be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant, reader, or remedial tutor
Qualifications

Advanced degree in Material Science and Engineering or a related field is required. Experience teaching at the college or university level is preferred, as well as a record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
