We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Natural Sciences: Chemistry to join our team at the University of California Merced. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of chemistry courses, including preparatory chemistry, general chemistry, and organic chemistry.
Key Responsibilities- Teach chemistry courses to undergraduate students, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students, including course materials, assessments, and evaluations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students.
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students and provide support.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience teaching chemistry courses at the University of California Merced or similar institution.
- Strong background in chemistry education and research.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and materials.
