Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Worker I PRN to join our team at Community Health System. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

* Record and document vital signs accurately and efficiently
* Supervise meals and snacks to ensure patient safety and well-being
* Record and document meal percentages to track patient progress
* Encourage daily patient self-care, including hygiene and daily living activities
* Prepare and supervise snacks to promote healthy eating habits
* Perform and document safety checks on each patient every 15 minutes to ensure a safe environment
* Perform and document room/contraband checks to prevent safety risks
* Plan and implement therapeutic activities to promote patient engagement and well-being
* Complete risk prevention measures, including fall and allergy prevention
* Assist in the admit/discharge process to ensure a smooth transition for patients
* Assist patients with basic activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing
* Create a safe and therapeutic environment that promotes patient comfort and well-being
* Build rapport with patients and use de-escalation techniques when necessary
