Role Summary

As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the Culinary Department's operations within our facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the supervision, preparation, and cooking of diverse food items, as well as developing daily menu offerings and their presentation. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus and manage inventory orders. This position is ideal for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and overseeing expenditures.
  • Assist in menu planning and creation.
  • Execute catering events effectively.
  • Implement new culinary programs in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, based on formal education or training.
  • Catering experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking is beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost management, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
  • Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
