Job Summary

Evapco is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead our production team in safely producing and shipping units to our customers as ordered and on time. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating a safe work environment and fostering a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Quality, Facilities, and People Operations, to ensure successful operation of the production area.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of the team and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Resource Allocation: Provide the team with the necessary tools and information to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Talent Acquisition: Interview, hire, and place new employees into the department and role that best matches their skills.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce workplace policies fairly and help resolve personnel issues.
  • Training and Development: Work with shop leadership to develop their skills and ensure they have the necessary knowledge to perform their jobs.
  • Safety Initiatives: Ensure all safety initiatives, policies, and programs are being followed for a safe workplace.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure Evapco quality standards are upheld.
  • Production Planning: Ensure all product ships on time and create a game plan when there is a risk of late shipments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor production results against weekly and monthly goals and work with the Superintendents to adjust manpower to meet goals.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate department efficiencies and look for areas for improvement.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the production area is clean and organized so that it is ready for a customer visit at any time.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide justifications for deviations from budget.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Must have experience and proven ability to lead a team by maintaining a positive attitude and encouraging employee development and success.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to shift priorities to match ever-changing production needs.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and connect with a diverse group of employees.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work a flexible schedule to allow for off-hour visits when necessary.
  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of production management experience managing organizations or departments with over 100 people.
  • Education: Relevant associate or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle high stress situations.
  • Availability: Ability to take calls 24/7 and come in during off-hours to address issues.
