Gillette Children's is in search of a dedicated Spine Surgeon to become a vital part of our Spine Institute team, delivering exceptional care to both children and adults facing congenital and neuromuscular spine disorders.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include an intraoperative O-arm with surgical navigation, on-site EOS imaging machines at two clinical locations, access to 3-D printing for spine models, an in-house GAIT lab, custom spinal orthoses crafted with on-site carving technology, and immediate advanced imaging services (CT and MRI).
Practice Overview:
Collaborate with a passionate team of orthopedic surgeons, consisting of 6 Spine Surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers, all committed to outstanding patient care.
Perform 2-4 surgeries weekly and manage 18-25 patients daily.
Participate in a shared call schedule of 1:8.
Focus on non-trauma cases, specifically scoliosis, congenital and neuromuscular spine conditions, and spondylosis/spondylolisthesis.
Academic Opportunities:
Engage in an active research and teaching environment with a partnership with a recognized medical school.

Qualifications:
Required:
Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Orthopedic Surgery Residency training program and one of the following:
Spine Fellowship
OR
Pediatric Orthopedics Fellowship with a strong emphasis on spine surgery or an additional year of Spine Fellowship training.
Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS or AOA
Licensed or eligible for licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet credentialing and privilege criteria.
Preferred:
Experienced orthopedic surgeon with specialized training in spine surgery, including VCRs and cervical spine.
Pediatric orthopedic surgeon with significant experience in spine surgery, including VCRs and cervical spine.
