Job Summary

The Townsend Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Guest Rooms: Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including stripping beds and linens, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture, and replenishing amenities.
  • Inspect and Report Damage: Inspect rooms for needed repairs and report any damage to furniture or fixtures to the Director of Rooms or Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.
  • Operate Cleaning Equipment: Operate a light vacuum and other cleaning equipment as needed.
  • Follow Safety and Security Procedures: Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, including the use of cleaning chemicals and handling of guest personal items.
  • Communicate with Guests and Colleagues: Communicate verbally and in writing with guests, coworkers, and managers to ensure a positive and efficient experience.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certificate or Training. Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury, boutique-hotel setting is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for entire shift, perform light to moderately heavy housekeeping duties, and use stairs and service elevators to move throughout the building.
