Job Summary:

We are seeking qualified applicants for our pool of part-time adjunct instructors in Engineering Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver courses in Engineering Science, including face-to-face, online, and blended formats.
  • Develop and submit course syllabi, including university policy statements.
  • Hold classes and office hours consistent with required contact hours.
  • Evaluate student learning, provide feedback, and respond to student questions in a timely manner.
  • Track and submit student success data.
  • Submit final grades prior to registrar's deadlines.
  • Collect student artifacts for assessment.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching college-level courses in computer science or a closely related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Engineering Science or a related field.
  • Industry experience in Engineering Science.
