Job Title: Water Safety Instructor

At the Richard Kane Family YMCA of Bartlesville, we are seeking a qualified Water Safety Instructor to join our team. As a Water Safety Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching water safety and basic swimming skills to participants in our Safety Around Water (SAW) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach water safety and basic swimming skills to participants in our SAW program.
  • Work with all YMCA staff members to monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all members, participants, and employees.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications, including CPR/AED/First Aid.
  • Carry out all swimming instruction following the curriculum and standards of Y-USA and the Richard Kane YMCA.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Accurately document participant skill, achievement, and attendance.
  • Enforce swimming pool safety rules and properly report and treat injuries.
Requirements:
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Must be available 1:00pm - 3:00pm Monday through Friday.
  • Must enjoy working with children and have the patience and enthusiasm to engage with them effectively.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
Salary:

$10-$11 per hour
