About the Role

Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is looking for a junior litigation attorney to join their dynamic team. This role will involve collaborating with colleagues on various aspects of litigation and arbitration, including:

  • Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Participating in depositions, both taking and defending.
  • Assisting with court appearances and strategizing case approaches with team members.

Dispute Resolution Practice

With a rich history of defending the interests of individuals, businesses, and brands, our client boasts a robust international dispute resolution practice. Their team of over 180 attorneys spans Europe, Asia Pacific, the US, and the Caribbean, specializing in complex, multi-jurisdictional cases across various sectors, including art, sport, fashion, luxury assets, and natural resources.

They represent a diverse clientele, from high-net-worth individuals and families to corporate entities and governments, handling a wide range of disputes. Their expertise includes commercial litigation, contract disputes, asset recovery, insolvency, fraud, international arbitration, and more, with a disputes portfolio valued at $14 billion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be admitted to and in good standing with the New York Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials (JD required).
  • 1-2 years of experience in litigation.
  • Exceptional research, drafting, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and discovery requests.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative team player with exposure to complex disputes and investigations.
  • Experience with depositions and court proceedings is advantageous.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint is beneficial.
  • Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $165,000 to $180,000.
