About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented OR Sterilizer to join our team at Mia Aesthetics. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing, sterilizing, and cleaning all surgical instruments used in our procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Apply sanitary, infection control, and safety standards in preparing and sanitizing surgical instruments
  • Accurately and safely handle instruments in accordance with our sterilization process
  • Accurately and safely handle sterile processing equipment and ensure equipment is properly working at all times
  • Correctly peel-pack supplies/instruments, wrap instruments for sterilization, inspect each instrument for use, function, completeness, and cleanliness
  • Document and maintain accurate sterilization records
  • Perform simple maintenance on equipment (i.e., clean filters and drains)
  • Prepare trays for designated areas according to policies and procedures
  • Document and maintain inventory of supplies and materials
Requirements
  • High School Diploma minimum requirement
  • Holds and maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across various audiences (i.e., staff, patients, physicians)
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to quickly comprehend instructions from OR staff team members
  • Excellent team player
