About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Main Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare surgical supplies and equipment for procedures
  • Maintain a sterile field and pass surgical instruments to surgeons and other medical staff
  • Assist in room preparation and ensure that all necessary equipment is available and ready for use
  • Independently assist with instrument reprocessing tasks and ensure that the operating rooms are case-ready for the following day's cases
  • Exhibit practical knowledge of OR equipment, including maintenance and safety aspects
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Scrub Technologist school/program or 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist
  • Excellent communication skills, strong work ethics, and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
