AECOM is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to provide on-site project management services for various client programs and projects in the DC Metro Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a construction management team to deliver capital construction projects for US Federal Government clients.
  • Manage, coordinate, and administer a group of projects or one major project from conceptual stages through all phases, with the assistance of the project team.
  • Oversee the overall performance of the project team and take the lead in reporting and ensuring project completion within budget, schedule, and in conformance with specifications.
  • Review contracts, scope documents, and available data for the project, and establish schedules and budgets for compliance with project scope requirements and contract obligations.
  • Take the lead in working with internal team members, and client departments, including cost/scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, construction, contracts, legal, labor relations, finance, accounting, and other services and departments as required to successfully manage projects.
  • Provide an integrated project team approach in working with designers, contractors, and governing agencies.
  • Review and comment on design submissions, change orders, and contracts/sub-contracts, and represent the client's interests to ensure control of and validating that change orders are current, fair, and efficiently processed.
  • Review comments received from governing agencies on behalf of the client and coordinate timely resolutions.
  • Proactively monitor critical project milestone dependencies, and track actions which may result in risks to critical project milestones.
  • Review project key performance indicators and forecast any modifications to schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports, and effectively reconcile risks to commitments that may exceed assigned schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate communications, stakeholder contacts, and maintain good working relationships.
  • Monitor and control contractual commitments to assure work being performed is in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contracts.
  • Review builder submittals and RFI documents, and provide field surveillance to ensure the specified quality of design.
  • Conduct project coordination and client meetings as necessary to review progress and discuss upcoming work.
  • Work with stakeholders to negotiate and resolve conflicts, disputes, and potential claims on behalf of the client.
