Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech, you will play a key role in understanding business requirements, designing, developing, and implementing solutions that enable great customer experience and drive business objectives. You will be part of the team responsible for building and implementing Health and Wellness-related solutions.

About the Team
Central Patient Record (Health & Wellness) is a team within Walmart Global Tech that is dedicated to providing a unique and accurate record of each individual patient for consumers. We maintain a number of APIs which consumers can use to search and access the Master Patient Index to serve Walmart's Pharmacy and Clinic patients.

Responsibilities
Translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing small to large-sized complex projects, and coming up with high-level designs. Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices. Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provide Operational support for the business and production issues and help business & Product teams on data analysis on business solutions implemented. Drives solutions that proactively monitor and alert teams to potential issues before they cause impact to business systems. Participates in the Operational Excellence process to uncover root cause of impacting issue, ensure all issues within the team's focus areas are properly resolved, and changes to processes, systems, coding, or testing are implemented to ensure the same issues do not occur in the future.

Requirements
Working experience with Agile methodology (Scrum, daily standups, etc.). A minimum of 2 years' experience in Java technologies like (Spring Boot, Reactive framework, Maven, Hibernate) (excluding internship). Strong experience in RESTful Microservices and developing applications using Java version 8 or later. Hands-on experience with Kafka and other messaging services. Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies preferably Azure & GCP. Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. (MSSQL, Cassandra, Cosmos). Experience with working with CI/CD (Jenkins/Travis). Experience working with logging and application monitoring stack: Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace
