About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Optical Ordering and Fulfillment team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the success of our business by designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications to support our optical business, including writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to gather requirements, design features, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and code quality.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues, including identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software defects, performance issues, and technical roadblocks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area, or 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++ and familiarity with software development frameworks.
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to think critically and creatively to design efficient solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Attention to detail, including writing clean, well-documented code and thoroughly testing it to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Collaboration and communication skills, including effective teamwork skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
