Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at MAKO Medical. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting specimens, processing samples, and ensuring accurate data entry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, blood samples, and pathology and cytology samples.
  • Verify and confirm test/client information, utilizing lab technology systems or directory of services.
  • Accurately enter patient registration, test orders, and billing information, safeguarding assets and credit card information.
  • Perform departmental-related clerical duties, including data entry, inventory, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and complete training courses to stay up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
Requirements
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Commitment to all MAKO policies and procedures, including company dress code.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
