As a Grant Specialist at Kansas State University, you will play a critical role in supporting initiatives associated with K-State 105 and the Kansas Water Institute programs. Your primary responsibilities will include preaward research administration, with a focus on proposal review, budgetary guidance, and compliance with state laws and regulations, as well as university policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide budgetary guidance to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations and university policies.
  • Assist with program team(s) to ensure a streamlined experience when collaborating with both internal and external partners.
  • Develop service agreements, negotiate and facilitate through execution, and provide oversight regarding project management needs.
  • Ensure central oversight regarding partner payments and potential issues that may arise regarding partner compliance with service agreement deliverables.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of relevant experience

This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in Grants and Contract Administration
  • Advanced degree, such as a M.B.A. with emphasis on accounting or finance
  • Certified Research Administrator certification
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills-experience
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of guidelines, statutes and regulations

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$47,486 - $55,000 annually
