POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Retail Cashier at Gumby, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include operating the point of sale system, engaging in suggestive selling, and maintaining comprehensive product knowledge. You will also be responsible for restocking merchandise, managing housekeeping duties, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Following loss prevention policies and company standards is crucial.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Proficiency in the English language is necessary.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in retail with point of sale systems is preferred.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet navigation is advantageous.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain in-depth product knowledge, and foster a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Accurately process all Point of Sale transactions while adhering to cash handling protocols.
  • Assist patrons, validate tickets, and ensure the gameroom is well-maintained.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports at the conclusion of shifts.
  • Restock merchandise, aid in inventory receiving, and perform general maintenance tasks.
  • Promptly communicate any equipment issues to management.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This role involves physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, and climbing. The position requires moderate physical exertion and regular exposure to air contaminants and noise.
