About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Readiness and Exercise Planning Specialist to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our defense mission team, you will play a critical role in planning and executing military exercises, ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of our client's forces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive exercise directives, utilizing expertise in military planning processes, including the five paragraph standard orders format and the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, coordinate, and execute military exercises at various levels, including tactical, operational, and strategic.
  • Apply knowledge of the Joint Training Program (JTP) and JELC doctrine and processes to ensure effective exercise planning and execution.
  • Articulate exercise directives and initiate directives, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to support exercise planning and execution.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience with operational and technical military planning, development, coordination, and execution of Joint, Coalition, and Service participation in Combatant Command operations, exercises, demonstrations, experiments, or real-world operations.
  • Experience with supporting the planning and execution of Tier Exercises in accordance with Joint Publication 5-0 and the Joint Planning Process.
  • Experience with military staff operations, including Joint and Service processes, conducting training assessments, and measuring expertise.
  • Experience with exercise design, coordination, and execution, including events at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with coordinating and facilitating military exercises at various levels.
  • Experience with simulation and modeling tools used in military planning and analysis.
  • Experience with Space Operations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command operations.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in military planning and exercise design.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Military Planning and Operations Certification or Training.
