We are in search of a dedicated exercise planner with a focus on modeling and simulation, equipped with both operational and strategic perspectives to strengthen national defense initiatives. In this capacity, you will apply your insights into the U.S. military framework and the space sector to enhance training methodologies for diverse audiences.
Your proficiency will transform actual military demands into actionable warfighting capabilities, ensuring effective training for contemporary military personnel. As a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Exercise Planner, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating, evaluating, and assessing training exercises centered on space-related assets. Utilizing computer-based analytical tools, you will develop and refine simulations in alignment with operational requirements. This position necessitates strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and operational analysis capabilities, providing invaluable experience in constructive modeling, simulation, and military training within the space domain.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in one of the U.S. military branches
- Experience in planning and executing Tier Exercises following Joint Publication 5-0 and the Joint Planning Process
- Familiarity with simulated environments or scenario development tailored to individual and unit training needs
- Proficiency with tools such as C2BMC, JMDTS, WASABI, PDS-M, or STK
- Understanding of the Joint Training Program (JTP) and JELC doctrines and procedures
- Capability to analyze extensive raw model outputs to pinpoint critical factors
- Skill in summarizing and articulating complex technical insights and findings
- Ability to apply operational analysis principles and methodologies to execute study plans and analytical frameworks
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance
- A Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing scripts to tailor model behaviors and decisions within analytical scenarios
- Familiarity with tools such as RAPTR, BORG, SIDC, NYX, or FROST
- Experience in crafting M&S scripts to customize model behaviors and decisions
- Knowledge of Orbital Mechanics
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

The salary range for this position is competitive and reflects various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The compensation range for this role is projected between $84,600.00 and $193,000.00 annually.
Work Environment:
Our culture prioritizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site. If onsite, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients in person as required.
