Ice Skating Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ice skating instructor to join our team at Bend Park and Recreation District. As an ice skating instructor, you will be responsible for teaching ice skating lessons to youth and adults, promoting a safe and enjoyable learning experience for all participants.

The ice skating instructor will be responsible for:

• Teaching ice skating lessons to youth and adults
• Developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the needs of participants
• Providing feedback and guidance to participants to help them improve their skills
• Maintaining a safe and organized learning environment
• Communicating effectively with participants, parents, and staff

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong knowledge of ice skating instruction and safety guidelines
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants of various ages and abilities
• Physical ability to perform duties, including skating and lifting equipment
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and create a positive, respectful, and constructive relationship with staff and the general public

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with participants, parents, and staff. You will be required to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The physical demands of this position include frequent walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
