Job Title: On-Call Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. As an On-Call Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing and positioning patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures, adhering to physician specifications and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors, such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance, based on patient information.
  • Organize and maintain patient files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor and order department supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient work environment.
  • Be available to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time-sensitive projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology and policy/procedure revisions, ensuring compliance and excellence in patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one-year experience as a radiology technologist.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures, as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment.
  • A.R.R.T. registry.
