Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Cast Technician to join our team at TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting our orthopaedic doctors in the treatment of bone and joint injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts and splints
  • Take necessary measurements, including grip strength and leg lengths
  • Remove staples, sutures, Steinman pins, and K-wires
  • Change dressing and care for wounds
  • Assist in making follow-up appointments and consultation appointments with other specialists
  • Measure and fit patients for braces and other orthopaedic devices
  • Instruct patients in pre and post-operative care
  • Clean and stock cast and patient exam rooms
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certification by The National Board of Certification for Orthopaedic Technologists (NBCOT) or completion of an orthopaedic technology training program
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience in a hospital, clinic, or office, or as an independent contractor working directly in the care of the orthopaedic patient
