Job Title: Senior Construction Manager

Stanford Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with department, hospital, and university policies, government codes, and regulations.
  • Manage communications with project stakeholders, including regular updates on project status, problems, and required actions.
  • Lead the selection process and contract negotiations for contractors and construction-related vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, coherent, and timely project records and cost estimates.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and support to project managers and construction trades specific to a construction project.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related field or discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related work experience and level of responsibility in a comparable role.
  • Preferred experience of ten plus (10+) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups, including senior-level individuals within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to handle potentially sensitive situations by applying consultative skills in working with internal and external constituent groups.
  • Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct, and evaluate the work of others.
  • Ability to prioritize work by making informed judgments and develop solutions for complex problems.
  • Ability to work within a regulated environment, such as a hospital, to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
