Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the development of advanced antenna systems and satellite communications terminals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of antenna systems programs, from requirements and concept discussions to system design, implementation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams to design, develop, and test complex antenna systems and satellite communications terminals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system requirements and design specifications
  • Oversee the implementation, testing, and delivery of antenna systems and satellite communications terminals
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience with leading project teams and managing complex technical projects
  • Proven capabilities to conceptualize, design, implement, and test field satellite ground terminals, antenna telemetry systems, or similarly complex systems
  • Experience with developing test plans and procedures for requirements verification of complex systems
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with little instruction on day-to-day work, but knows when to ask for help
  • US Citizenship required
  • Travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in MATLAB
  • Experience as customer-facing technical lead on a project
  • Experience in DOORS, Jama, or requirements management tools
  • Experience with EVMS (earned value management system)
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field

Viasat offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $121,000 to $211,100 per year, as well as additional cash or stock incentives, medical, financial, and other benefits.
