The Manufacturing Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supervising and enhancing the transformation of raw materials into finished goods. This position requires a daily focus on balancing efficiency, product quality, customer satisfaction, and workplace safety within our production facilities. Cultivating a proficient and self-motivated team of hourly staff is essential for the success of our operations.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the production process to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Recruit and develop a highly capable team of hourly employees, fostering teamwork and a positive work culture.
  • Set and execute both short-term and long-term departmental objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), policies, and operational procedures.
  • Utilize the company's key systems, including ERP, MRP, and WMS, for effective management.
  • Promote continuous improvement through process evaluations and employee involvement.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders while meeting service level expectations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to proactively manage potential stock shortages.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of capital expenditure projects.
  • Engage in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Prioritize a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure compliance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in food manufacturing is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and spreadsheet creation is required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities are necessary.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to food manufacturing and GMPs is important.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of hourly employees, typically between 25 to 50 individuals.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to enhance employee performance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of work on the production floor are expected.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary range is between $85,000 and $95,000.
  • This position includes full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel between company facilities is necessary.

Work Environment:

  • This role requires daily on-site presence.
  • Remote work options are not available for this position.
  • The position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
