Job Summary

AAR is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician 3 to join our team. As an Avionics Technician 3, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics equipment on King Air aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test avionics equipment to ensure airworthiness and performance.
  • Repair and replace electrical wiring and associated components.
  • Adjust and repair defective components based on analysis of test results.
  • Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
  • Operate ground station for air-to-station check of radar or other equipment.
  • Fabricate wiring harnesses.
  • Comply with Avionics upgrades and modifications.
  • Interact with Company maintenance control, the customer, and manufacturer in matters related to airworthiness and operational readiness.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two-year electronics/avionics technical school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum eight years' experience in aircraft installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair.
  • Current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with Airframe rating.
  • Current Radiotelephone License issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
  • Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement.
  • US passport with at least 18 months remaining.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aircraft: King Air 250.
  • Experience maintaining FLIR Systems.
  • Experience maintaining Weather Radar Systems.
