Overview

The Nursing Professional Development Generalist is a full-time role dedicated to enhancing the educational framework for nursing staff across various home health offices. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in home health education.

Key Responsibilities

The NPD Generalist will take charge of the operational aspects related to the creation and execution of educational programs tailored for specific nursing populations. This role acts as a facilitator for learning, aiding in orientation, practice transitions, and ongoing education. It is essential to provide foundational education and competency validation to effectively transition nurses from novice to competent practitioners.

Accountability extends to various elements of staff development, continuing education, and the professional growth of nursing personnel, all aimed at enhancing quality, safety, and patient outcomes.

This position also supports system-wide and hospital performance improvement initiatives, alongside evidence-based practice projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience is highly regarded. Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD) or a specialty nursing certification is preferred. Additionally, advanced or specialized life support certifications are required as dictated by specific nursing specialties.

Qualifications:

- N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in relevant states

Essential Skills

Proficiency in communication, complex problem-solving, critical thinking, instructional methods, learning strategies, service orientation, and technology use is essential.
