Key Responsibilities
  • Drive company-owned vehicles to perform removals in accordance with local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Follow established processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
  • Collaborate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facility personnel to accommodate their processes and procedures.
  • Interact with bereaved family members in a courteous and professional manner, exhibiting sensitivity to their environment and minimizing conversation.
  • Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
  • Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes, and assist with moving caskets.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks, including washing, vacuuming, and fueling.
  • Follow safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
  • Identify and report vehicle engine or operating issues to management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • At least one (1) year work experience as a courier or driver, with direct customer interaction preferred.
  • Ability to work a schedule that supports business needs, including weekends and nights.
  • Ability to work on-call weekends, nights, and holidays rotation.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills required.
