Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with their service plans and physician orders.
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate effectively with medical professionals, families, and other staff members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Document resident care and services provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
  • Supervise staff under your direction during working hours, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing in-service trainings to stay current with industry standards.
  • Contribute to our Continuous Quality Improvement program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • One year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function.
  • State Required HHA Certification or CNA License.
  • Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field.
  • Ability to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records for residents.
  • Understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals.
