Position Overview:

The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) role is pivotal in collaborating with the Nurse Manager (NM) to provide comprehensive operational and administrative support for nursing staff while enhancing nursing leadership within the practice area.

Key Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the NM, the ANM is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and effective utilization of both human and material resources to fulfill departmental requirements.

This role encompasses:

  • People management and performance evaluation.
  • Onboarding new nursing associates.
  • Fostering the professional growth of team members through Nursing Advancement @ Nemours.

The ANM is dedicated to upholding the principles of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet model, particularly emphasizing transformational nursing leadership.

Quality Improvement:
The ANM actively participates in departmental and hospital initiatives aimed at Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance services in alignment with the Nemours Foundation's objectives.

They will ensure the delivery of evidence-based care and strive for benchmarked quality in patient services and outcomes.

The ANM serves as a resource and exemplary role model, optimizing frontline leadership for the patient care team.

Benefits:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices.
  • Provide daily clinical and operational supervision in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, and regulations affecting pediatric care.
  • Contribute to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to manage patient care effectively.
  • Apply evidence-based practices to enhance nursing and pediatric healthcare.
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in fostering a professional work environment.
  • Provide and supervise care in accordance with the Professional Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Position Requirements:
  • BSN required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in DE & American Heart Association BLS required upon hire.
  • Nursing specialty certification preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience is required.
