The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) role at Nemours is a key position that collaborates with the Nurse Manager to provide operational and administrative support to nursing associates. This role is responsible for planning, development, and utilization of human and material resources to meet departmental needs. The ANM will work closely with the NM to manage people, performance, and on-boarding of new associates, while influencing the professional development of team members through Nursing Advancement @ Nemours. The ANM will also participate in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services and ensure evidence-based care delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Provide daily clinical and operational supervision in partnership with the Nurse Manager.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, and regulations that affect the care of children and families.
  • Contribute to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and other health care providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate the management of patient care.
  • Contribute to nursing and pediatric health care through the application of evidence-based practice.
  • Adhere to budgetary plans.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in providing a professional work environment.
  • Provide and supervise care guided by the Professional Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Requirements
  • BSN required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, DE & American Heart Association BLS required upon hire.
  • Nursing specialty certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience required.
