Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting students facing speech and language challenges. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive educational environment that promotes both academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Design personalized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs based on evaluation findings.
  • Deliver effective speech-language therapy targeting articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom.
  • Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust therapy plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on communication strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students who may benefit from speech and language services.
  • Keep accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to positively impacting students' lives through effective speech and language support.
