Department Summary:

Our Psychology Department comprises 29 tenure-track faculty members and serves over 1,400 undergraduate students alongside more than 50 graduate students. We provide state-of-the-art facilities, including individual faculty research spaces, a psychological services clinic, and computer labs, all aimed at fostering a rich learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in high-quality teaching and mentorship for a diverse student population.
  • Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial-organizational psychology.
  • Establish a focused research agenda in the field of industrial and/or organizational psychology.
  • Contribute to curriculum development discussions within the department.
  • Supervise Master’s level students specializing in industrial-organizational psychology.
  • Provide academic advising to undergraduate psychology majors.
  • Participate in service activities benefiting the department, college, university, and broader community.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ph.D. from an accredited institution with a focus on Industrial-Organizational Psychology (ABD candidates will be considered).
  • Demonstrated development of a research program in work-related psychological topics.
  • Commitment to enhancing the Industrial-Organizational Psychology master’s program.
  • Evidence of effective teaching and mentorship of diverse student groups.
  • Experience in professional development aimed at supporting diverse communities.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multicultural academic environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior teaching experience in industrial and/or organizational psychology at the collegiate level.
  • Interest in courses related to industrial psychology, psychological assessment, and talent management.
  • Experience with diverse teaching methodologies that incorporate principles of equity and inclusion.
