Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team at Dominion Senior Living. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
  • Monitor residents for signs of distress, illness, or emergencies, and respond accordingly, following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including changes in condition, medication administration, and daily care activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with the nursing team, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication about residents' needs, concerns, and updates.
  • Plan and participate in recreational activities, exercise programs, and social events to encourage residents' physical and emotional well-being, tailoring activities to their interests.
  • Respect and protect residents' privacy and confidentiality at all times, adhering to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically the minimum educational requirement.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to be friendly, patient, and a good listener, as our residents are like family.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset, working alongside our nursing team and other staff members.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring residents' comfort and safety, and the ability to lift and transfer residents, using proper body mechanics.
