Role Overview
As an Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage accounts receivable functions. This includes issuing invoices, processing bank receipts, handling intercompany transactions, and maintaining audit schedules. You will also ensure compliance with company policies, support audits, and contribute to both month-end and year-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Managing Accounts Receivables:**
Oversee the organization’s receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices while following up on outstanding payments.
2. **Financial Record Keeping:**
Ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and standards by verifying billing requests against relevant supporting documents such as contracts and forms.
Job Duties
- Responsible for financial accounting and reporting for major subsidiaries.
- Support operational matters related to Accounts Receivables (AR), including billings, reconciliations, and receipting.
- Manage accrued income and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor project billing milestones closely.
- Assist in credit control by following up on long-standing debts.
- Collaborate with auditors for various audits throughout the year.
- Prepare intercompany billings and review monthly balance sheet schedules and annual audit schedules.
- Assist with AR-related matters of the Network Billing System (NBS).
- Conduct bank reconciliations for key accounts.
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager in any other ad-hoc matters.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or a professional accountancy qualification (minimum ACCA level 2 completed).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial experience, preferably with full set experience.
Skills Required
- Proficient in systems/applications as well as Microsoft Office (preferably with experience in SAP B1).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes and challenges is essential.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working within deadlines.
- Proficient in English and Chinese.
