Direct Support Professional Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. in Memphis, TN.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating daily living activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes assisting with personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping, social skills, and community access. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
• Assist with transportation and provide support during community outings.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and healthy environment for individuals served.
• Participate in individualized support planning and contribute to goal setting and achievement.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record (optional).
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary certifications.
