Empower Individuals with Disabilities

PathPoint is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our Integrated Work program team in Thousand Oaks, CA. As a DSP, you will lead virtual and in-person groups at outdoor worksites, teaching individuals social and life skills to help them lead more independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach communication skills, mobility, money management, housing, and public transportation to individuals with disabilities.
  • Supervise individuals during instruction and community outings, promoting positive work habits and social skills.
  • Prepare weekly schedules, monthly training projections, and written progress reports to track individual progress.
Requirements:
  • Patience, compassion, and ability to interact with individuals with disabilities and their family members in a positive manner.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable, but not required.
  • Valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and 5 years of driving experience.
  • Culturally aware and able to collaborate across cultures.
What We Offer:
  • Starting pay: $21.00 per hour, with bilingual staff eligible for $21.30 per hour.
