Empower Individuals with Disabilities

PathPoint is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our Integrated Work program team in Thousand Oaks, CA. As a DSP, you will lead groups at outdoor worksites, teaching social and life skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach individuals essential life skills, including communication, mobility, and money management.
  • Supervise individuals during instruction and community outings.
  • Build rapport with individuals and act as a positive role model.
  • Prepare weekly schedules and written progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Patience and compassion when interacting with individuals with disabilities.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
  • Valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Comfortable driving individuals in a company van.
  • Culturally aware and able to collaborate across cultures.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Starting pay: $21.50 per hour (bilingual: $21.80 per hour).
