Job Summary:

Penn Entertainment is seeking a skilled Slot Machine Technician to join our team. As a Slot Machine Technician, you will be responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all slot machines and gaming devices, ensuring they are in full capacity operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, adjusting, and testing various machine parts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine malfunction problems as they occur during gaming.
  • Assist floor supervisors with malfunctions and answer floor calls.
  • Ensure slot machines are filled with ticket paper to keep machines in constant operation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving complaints regarding slot machines.
  • Work on special projects as assigned, including layout and installation.
  • Maintain knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws and regulations.
  • Bring disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the shift manager.
  • Present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same.

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing & Gaming Commissions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months to one year experience in electronics and maintenance of technical equipment, game machines, or slot machines preferred.
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including all shifts and holidays.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly in stressful situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 250 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas.

Work Environment:

  • Work environment is usually very loud.
  • Exposure to unrestricted second-hand smoke in guest areas.
  • Employee may be exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Comfortable working in low-lighted areas and around bright and/or flashing lights.
