Sierra Space, a leading provider of space systems and services, is seeking a highly skilled Principal RF Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex RF systems for our space-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop RF front-end systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, and interference analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems with other spacecraft components.
  • Develop and implement RF frequency planning, analog-to-digital conversion, and circuit design.
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including RF modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles.
  • Experience with automated software testing.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques and AI&T experience with commercial space vehicles or space systems.
